Hey Sonny, I'm glad you stuck it out. I've been through "everything that could happen , happened ! It's all about having fun and enjoying capturing photons . The processing is a whole other beast to deal with and the guys on the hog really help out. M13 is a nice choice to test on, lots of stars. Keep the faith buddy.
Hi Ronnie!
Yep, M13 was to help me get NINA working. Finally!
Last night it actually completed the Full Monte on the North American Nebula.
A total package of start-up through Parking my mount at the end. So Pleased when I got up this morning and it was actually parked at Counterweight Down, aimed North.
Having my unusual mount causes some oddities for programming. But I guess I finally worded my question right, on the right forum, and got the right boxes checked for success.
Of course, nothing saying it will do it 2 times in a row. But I'm holding the faith I've made another baby step.
With the mild California summer weather here (Hot as hell), I'm keeping the telescope on the mount and just covering the monster with my giant BBQ cover during the daylight hours. So far, all is working very well.
Finally, some decent skies and weather to run with.
Processing, who needs processing? I'm getting decent stacking, great focusing, Plate Solving, and rock solid guiding. One of these dayz I might even inject some color.
I'm still fiddling with it anyway.
Brian found the data good to work with, and I don't need a flattener.
I've done several start-it, and go to bed overnighters. But last night everything ran as it should.
Going after the Narrowband filters tonight.
