Fathers' Day

I was talking to a woman from Spectrum on the phone yesterday, a lengthy conversation, naturally. At one point, she asked if I was expecting anything special for Fathers' Day. I got to thinking about that later, and I realized that was not a good question to ask. Suppose a father had lost his only child. Suppose the man had no children. That's why, whenever I meet someone I haven't seen in a while, I never ask how their husband or wife or child is doing.

Basically then you don't talk to them?
