Anyone here use Ryther Camera as a purchase source? Any reviews? They have a good price on a refurbed body, but I have never purchased from them.

I purchased from them about a year ago. No problems, and quick service.

I bought my Canon 7D from there. Not a problem for me either.

Funny you should ask. I was looking for a camcorder for my son for Christmas, and Ryther had it at a good price. Others had it for $100 less, but that was pushing my luck. So, I ordered it with free shipping and no tax. Someone called yesterday to confirm the order and address and to ask if I needed anything else. He said I would receive it next week.

I have seen Ryther's low prices and was suspicious. In this case, I thought I'd take a chance, and if the deal went bad, my CC company would bail me out.

I am saving for the 16-35 and 200-400. I have been saving for a while for the big lens. My son just started college and that has its own setbacks.

Wow! You're going back a ways - over a year. Yes, the purchase went fine, and he's still using the camera. Although the call was unwanted and annoying, the camera arrived shortly afterwards - brand new, with all the bits and pieces.

Looked for Ryther and found many entries. Went one by one... Maybe they mend their ways. I want to buy a Canon 70D, because their price looks good. I don't mind grey market if the camera is new and good., but dont like the follow up calls mentioned and their tactics. That is another day lost with talking. Not sure if the price is worth risking the possible 2-3 weeks delivery plus the anoyances.

It's nice to save money when you can, especially if e transaction works. Let us know what you decide.

I see that it's "importer," which means gray market, but it does include all the bits and pieces. Canon will work on gray market equipment, but you have to pay. It comes with a one-year warranty.
