Any experience using the Techart lens adapter to use a Sony E mount lens on a Nikon Z6 or Z7 camera. I’m looking at using a Sigma Art with a Sony E mount on a Nikon Z6 or Z7. I’m not too interested in auto focus speed, just compatibility and longevity. Thanks for any experience.

Some test reviews:

Due to the thin size of the adaptor there are some lens weight limit guidelines, and it has NO weather sealing. Handling was somewhat difficult and although it generally worked, performance was uneven, according to this test review.

Another E-mount to Z-mount adaptor: Megadap ETZ-21
Mark Smith: It also generally worked, but also had erratic, unpredictable AF performance, according to Mark Smith ,a top wildlife pro.

I use the megadap 21 cuz I do not trust the latch on the techart.

Cannot comment on longevity as these are rather newish products.

I tried the Megadap with the 200-600 on my Z9 and was underwhelmed. On the occasions it would focus I still couldn’t maintain focus while zooming. I sent both back and decided to stick with the 100-400 and 1.4x TC until they release the 200-600 Z lens. I hope it’s internal zoom like the Sony.

Yes SuperflyTNT, Mark Smith was also underwhelmed with the Megadap using his 200-600mm on a Z9. I linked that review above, but here it is again from Mark Smith:
