Well not really folks.....I know, I know, this is all touristy and hokey but I just thought I'd have a little fun. This is really Port Issac in Cornwall, home of the Doc Martin series. We are heavy watchers of British TV streaming through Prime, Britbox and Acorn, about 75% of our TV time is on these services. One of my wife's favorite shows was Doc Martin, one of the most popular, a truly funny and well-done series. the production company took 20 years to produce 10 seasons. My wife has seen them all at least once.
The company would come in for a year, move and store the goods and furniture of the houses, stores they were using for the season. They would also pay for the loss of income during the year of production. Stores were painted, decorated and changed, then then brought back to original when filming was completed for that season. The ice cream store (blue borders) was converted to Miss Tischel's pharmacy, the restaurant, the bars, the school were all used in the production. Doc Martins house is available for rent, if your so inclined. Talking to the residents and shop owners of Port Issac, they loved the series being produced and filmed there and all and looked forward to them coming back every other year.
Since we were visiting Cornwall two weeks ago, this was on my wife's must-see list...so we did. One thing I found out, there's nothing level in that little town, its either uphill or downhill but what a cute little seaside town with truly, truly friendly people. If you've seen the show, you may recognize some of the places. If you haven't seen the Doc Martin series, I most highly recommend it for great quality entertainment....Cheers

Loved the show have the complete series take it and watch when down in the dumps, the man who played Al Large bought a house there to raise his kids and I believe lives there also part of the year
Great choices all, thanks for posting.
