That's likely due to the fact that women never routinely competed in male dominated sports and they know they would have no chance at being competitive. It's a totally different situation with men competing against women.

There is nothing more anti-woman than this hysteria of biological males being lauded as being women’s sport champions or the ‘first woman to’ whatever. As an athletics coach of both young ladies and young men, I absolutely guarantee that an average 7th grade boy can outrun, outjump, and out lift all but the most elite 12th grade girls. This is no criticism of female athletes, but to ignore this reality is the equivalent of eliminating age or weight brackets in sport. And, by the way, with the current precident of abject stupidity, what is to prevent a 6’8” grown man from identifying as a 3rd grade girl? By what sorcery can these crazies deny the reality of biology in terms of chromosomes but suddenly acknowledge the reality of biological age?

Perhaps not always, but in general, biological males competing in women's sport is beyond unfair to the women. Over time all the record performances will be held by trans-women.
I do not see a fair solution for the trans-female athletes. They should be blocked from women's sports...they likely can't be competitive in men's sports...and the trans population is so small as to make it unviable to establish a trans gender category in sports competitions. There are consequences to taking the steps involved in the trans conversion process. Being a trans-female athlete with no venue to compete is just one of the consequences.

What little data available also show that those on long term hormone modification have shorter life expectancy and also have insane levels of surgical complications when and if they fo under the knife. Don’t let shorter, medically challenging lives sway your opinions, though, since the REAL issue is that the evil, biological women want their restrooms, locker rooms and sporting competitions for themselves.
