It was lunch time...
after all! This little gal was squawking for quite a while so I ran out with my newish R6II and 100-400 lens with 2x adapter to grab some shots. She was watching over her babies in a nest (I believe) which were a good 60 feet up deep in a fir tree. She left the tree right after I snapped the first pic and landed on my neighbor's second story roof top near her chimney to have lunch. Another bird must have dropped that mouse off earlier because she didn't have it when she flew over to the house. I notice she started by eating the head first. Bon appetite.
