Watched and photographed these two luv birds making more Juncos.
Z9, 500pF. Birds were about 15 feet in front of me, in good light. 6-4-2023, 4:40 PM PDT.
After the first round, the female postured as in #3 for over a minute before lover boy came back.
The last shot shows lover boy pondering his next moves. Yes more babies to feed!
Dark-eyed Juncos have three clutches a year in our area.
All the while our Crested Drake watched the tableau unfold...
