NASA presented a long, rather boring, presentation about their ongoing UAP (UFO) investigation.
The DOD has done an about face (pun intended) on the subject of UFOs. Since there is the possibility of a threat to national security, military personnel are encouraged to report "strange things."
UAP now means Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon. They changed the name because they want it to include objects in the upper atmosphere, in orbit around the earth, and in space. If there is something unusual up there, we should be able to identify and explain it.
There are 45,000 commercial airliner flights every day. There are thousands of drones and weather balloons in the sky at any given time.
The most common unidentified object, seen all around the world, is a silver orb. It hovers, moves slowly, and moves quickly before disappearing.
Most UFO radar contacts last for a very short time, so it's difficult to draw conclusions.
Natural occurrences we don't understand are probably responsible for many unexplained sightings.
The sixteen scientists on the NASA panel emphasized the fact that they are not hiding anything, nor is NASA. One said that scientists are naturally curious and somewhat rebellious, and they want to discover and spread the truth.
"The Conspiracy of Silence" - The idea of conspiracies keeping quiet about major events has come up many times, but they are just that - conspiracy theories. If you've ever work with a small group of people, you know how difficult it is to get everyone to agree on anything. Imagine getting hundreds of people all around the world to keep quiet about a "conspiracy."
I didn't watch the lengthy presentation, but I did read/watch summaries. There is a link to one below.
