Wonderful set of images. I think you do just fine with your landscapes.
I think they all have merit. Nice set.
Really great photos!! And shame on you for posting a landscape in the photo gallery!! I will be surprised if someone doesn't suspend you for three days!!
PS. I hope you recognize sarcasm since I don't know you!
Well, I was laughing thinking "what would I do with the 3 days?" Glad you like the photos. I love landscapes and the challenge of getting them right. Not sure that I achieve that all the time which is why I am always open to constructive feedback.

#1 & #3 stand out for me, the others not so much. Are they sky replacements? #1 has a few signs of haloing #3 less so, but there 'stored originals' so we can't download and view them in their full splendour.
Excellent set - well done!

. . .and no less than BEAUTIFUL photographs!!

I thought I would share a few of my landscapes and hopefully get some critique on them. While landscapes are my favorite thing to photograph, I find that, at times, I treat them too simply and end up with a bit of a mess....no focus point, no leading lines, etc.
What you say about landscapes having no focal point, leading lines, and even lack of balance, may be true in some respects. However, I believe those points can be seen in landscapes if we actually look closely.
In your first I see balance and a triangle with the large formation in the left background, smaller formation in front of the large and then the medium sized on the right. To me that triangle balances the photo.
The second has the layers, a foreground of seaweed covered rocks, mid ground of waves and larger rocks then the sky with a splash of color balancing out the gray clouds.
The third similarly has the layers of sunlit foreground, shadowed mountains and the gray sky. The subtle lightning bolt is the frosting on the cake.
The final one has a nice "V" pattern of the green highlights filled with the mountains and the sky.
I find all of your photos interesting, colorful, well composed and actually quite beautiful. A very nice set that I appreciate. Thank you for sharing them.
I think you did good. As with any subject, lighting is the key. I rarely plan my shots to get the right lighting, mostly I take what’s there. I went to the Fire Wall in Arches in the evening to get some good light but it turned out a bit too cloudy. I did manage to get a nice evening light shot of some other formations that turned out OK.
