could talk about butterflies, flowers, and unicorns so no one's feelings get hurt.....
Update: Case in point:
Just saw on a "neighborhood" forum that covers dozens of neighborhoods.
Person asked "Is power out?". That's it, three words.
Not mine....
The fact that no one knows where that person lives is superfluous I suppose.

Sounds like NextDoor to me... Most of the time it is a colossal WASTE of time, a rat hole of propaganda, and a pit of aggravated bitching. It is full of:
"What kind of snake is this?"
"Your dog pooped on MY lawn. How would you like it if I pooped on YOUR front porch?"
"Who's selling Girl Scout Cookies?"
"Girl Scout Cookies cause [cancer/flatulence/weight gain/impotence/...]"
"Anyone seen this dog/cat/missing gerbil?"
"Is your power out?"
"When will the power come on?"
"Oh, those evil [politicians of some party or the other]..."
"Did anyone see the UFO last night floating across Wendover?"
"My dog needs an operation. Can you help pay for it?"
"Beware these kids breaking into cars." [see Ring doorbell video]
"This kid in an Audi cut me off on Maple Street doing 90 MPH. Anyone know his daddy?" [dashcam photo shows license plate #]
"Hire me to cut your lawn." [gets tons of responses]
"Who cuts lawns for cheap?" [gets few responses]
"Amurriker needs more prayer." [usually followed by some Bible verse]
"Some kid's on [insert social media app] saying he's going to shoot up the school tomorrow. Should I call police?"
"There's a [house of some ill repute] on my street. When are the cops gonna raid it?"
"They's a shewtin' ray-dar own I-74 tuhday. Y'all slow down, now!"
"Use yer damn turn signal, ash-haulers!"
"Where's the food truck festival?"
