When will the next batch of the Z8 become available? If Nikon was smart, it would have continued manufacturing as it was selling off its first batch of 12,000 cameras. There really shouldn't be a waiting period for a popular camera. Let the guessing begin!

As soon as the Oompa Loompas come back from their vacation and start cranking up the Z8 production line at Willie Wonka's Nikonos USA factory...but you have to admit this launch availability was better than the Z9's, being further removed from supply chain issues. It's a good problem for Nikon to have. Let's see 12,000x $4000 = $48 million gross revenue. As Luca Brasi would say before he slept with the fishes, "Not bad!"

Yes, B&H usually gives me overnight delivery. I'm only a hundred miles away.

According to Nikon Rumors on May 29 the next shipment to the U.S. is expected in the first or second week of June.

I've never been disappointed by a rumor.

Even if they are not true, they get the adrenaline flowing. What's not to like?
😀

I doubt that Nikon suspended manufacturing to see how things went. It's more likely that the production is continuous provided materials and sub assembly components are available. What's likely to produce batches are shipments. Are you waiting for one?
I received mine May 26th, it took a year for my Z9 to arrive.

Yes, waiting. I saw last night that a new batch should begin shipping within a week.

No guessing Jerry. Everyone knows Nikon has produced enough Z8's to satisfy everyone interested.
Nikon is like a famous Bicycle company, they take an order, then put the finished bike in storage for 6 months making the buyer wait an extra 6 months. When the buyer finally gets his new bike, he treasures it because he feels the company took their time and made him a really good product.
Silly Jerry, do you not know how the game it played.
PS. your posting numbers continue to grow but your content is lacking, as usual.
More unnecessary snark. Really? Is that necessary? Get a grip.

What makes you think they didn't continue to manufacture new bodies as they were selling off the first batch of cameras?
