In the summer of 2005 I embarked on an 85-day 11,750-mile auto trip to attend 4 different reunions and visit friends and family in the eastern half of the USA. The first reunion was of USAF folks who had served in Canada (I spent a year at Cartwright Air Station, Labrador in the mid-1960s), and I was in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario for several days. While there I saw some interesting things, and I'm posting several Sets to cover them.

This Set is of general views of the city, mostly near the river.

Roberta Bondar Park. The reunion was centered here.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. (Other Sets in progress) I spent 20 years in USAF but never in a combat zone. Was never shot at, but I went where I was told to go.

You still served our country and we appreciate it! My son was in the first desert war and is a senior Warrant Office in the Army Reserve.

Thank you very much! I was not a "Vietnam Veteran" but a "Vietnam Era Veteran". I served the entire period of the Cold War. You must be rightfully proud of your son.

Thanks, Mike! I saw a lot of different things up there. (I drove though your country to get there--took photos of Whitefish Point and ate Haddock at Bob's Big Boy at Manistique, Michigan.)
