I think I nailed it. Suddenly it dawned on me I might need to change the coin battery in my mounts controller.
Sure enough, it was weak.
The proof will come tonight, But I think I got it.
(The coin battery maintains the tiny memory in the controller. When it gets weak, things get wacky. Most computers have one sort or another tiny battery that maintains the boot memory)
Keeping my fingers crossed for tonight.

Hoping for clear skies for you!

That's cool Marc I like the nebulosity and that wispiness ? I've been out just not as much as I would like so far and now here comes the heat.

The nights for the last week have been cloudy and rainy, which helps the garden but, very little for my endeavors Marc. I'm trying to get some processing done , I've got 2 targets ready to go in photoshop.

Once you get the workload down from capture to processing you can usually apply them to all your desired images.
My astronomy buddy did all 110 messier objects, came out nice. He took few years and waited till they were by the merridan. We live in light polluted NJ suits tough.

Swa, we've had some pretty miserable weather lately. I live in a sm. town Orange zone with neighbors that are disrespectful and afraid of the dark, at least my neighbor that lives on the scope side of my house turns his outside porch 300 watt light out and shuts his door when I'm imaging.

I built my ROR observatory 12x10 and I planed for light neighbors and said my focus was going to be lunar and double stars.
I think my neighbor can land an air plane in her yard it's so bright. I'm in NJ and we are on 100x100 lots

Swa, bright targets are better when you live with a lot of light pollution causing neighbors . When I first moved here I was taken by the lack of light pollution moving from the boonies {foothills}to the piedmont but, then subdivisions started going in everywhere 9,000 pop. and now it's over 12,000. I'm going to have to buy a mtn. to get away from it all. My narrowband filters take care of the light pollution but, it doesn't help with the rgb color channels that I have to take less than half the time as I do with the narrowband filters. I tell ya , take what you have and do what you can with it cause the neighbors aren't going to appreciate what your trying to accomplish.
