It’s just as I feared. Since I got a decent iPhone I’m using my DSLR less and less. I’ve always been an inveterate snap shooter and the convenience of the iPhone makes me lazy and is limiting my creativity to what the iPhone can capture - which is a lot. The big advantage I have with my DSLR is using flash, indoor and out, on and off camera. iPhone tech isn’t there yet.
The iPhone has an editing program as well as different modes you can use it on such as portraits and lighting modes etc before and after taking the picture. Using the portrait mode on non portrait subjects has the effect of a very shallow depth of field for creative effects. I like to use it on flowers and dogs. Also the editing program has all the basic edits to remove shadows, lower highlights, vibrance, contrast and many more choices. Easy and quick to use. IF you haven't tried it give it a whirl.
