You Know what boys and girls? You are ALL MISSING THE POINT!!! The Point IS that GOD made us "Boys" and "Girls" to grow up to become "Men" and "Women", able to make our own choices, and the choices that we make will determine, and are determining, our future. The Nation as a whole is now suffering and will suffer greater things than these based on our choices. God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, and he has NO Tolerance for such acts. Open your eyes folks, God is not going to turn his head the other way and say "OH WELL!!??. He Gave Extremely Harsh Punishments to the people of the Old Testament, and we will be be held accountable for our actions as well, and I'm not talking just about those who choose to participate in sexual sins but also those who turn their heads the other way and say "I think that they should have the same rights as heterosexuals". God said in "The Bible" that it is an ABOMINATION to him. That means that is Detestable, Vulgar, Obscene, Unclean, and Unacceptable!!!! We as a Nation are sliding into Debauchery with our permissive attitudes and Antics. Wake Up People!! If you want this Country to turn around and become something that we can ALL live with, then WE need to turn around and look to God for guidance, and start Serving Him and not ourselves or a political party association. You all seem to be very Intellectual people, which means that you probably read a lot and study a lot. My advice to you would be to start studying "The Bible" and getting your hearts and minds right with GOD. Before it's too late to save this great country that we All call Home.

I am so glad that our constitution gave us Freedom of and FROM religion. I do read a lot and study a lot and have for over 60 years. Religious bigotry is the curse of the world today, from Christian divides like Ireland and England, to the divisions between Sunni and Shiite Muslims, not to mentions Judaism from Muslims. MY God is inclusive of everyone, and my God is in my own vision, not defined by ancient books written by people who thought the world was flat.

After years of searching, attending different Christian churches, and reading the Bible, and learning about other religions, learning about science, astrology, geology, anthropology and chemistry, I decided that any kind of religion that said that good and moral men and women of the Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Taoist, or any other religion on this planet who did not accept Jesus Christ as their savior was going to Hell was simply wrong.

Of course reading Kurt Vonnegut novels did clarify my suspicions, crystal clear.

I have an unsettling thought, Might it not be possible that all this posturing over the fiscal cliff is nothing but a public playing to the media. Is it possible that both party's have already agreed to push everything off this cliff? We know, and they know that we do, that billians of dollars are needed very quickly. So all they have to do is weight, let everything go, and instant gratification. INcome tax increases, automatic cuts etc. The beuty of it is no one gets blammed, as they are both pointing fingers at each other. We on the other hand, will for the next 4 years be heatedly debateing this issue on the hog!

Unsettling thought for sure. But neither party is going to allow the so called "fiscal cliff" to happen. Right now they are just posturing, and satisfying their constituents that they are fighting for what they want to happen, higher tax rates on the rich from the Democrats, and lower expenditures from the Republicans. The compromise, which I hope in my heart that Congress is capable of, will be to allow deduction limits and/ or higher tax rates on incomes of $350 to $500k or more, as Warren Buffet has suggested, and some cost cutting in the entitlements arena, such as aggressively pursuing Medicare and Medicaid fraud, raising SS and Medicare ages incrementally, increasing their limits, and cutting Military spending to a rational level. We are Americans. We can solve this.
