Was that at the full extension (500 mm) of the 100-500? With that camera and extender that is quite a reach. Eye, facial detail is very good. That speaks for the photographer and rig.

Thank you, bajadreamer. Yes, it was at 500mm. A total of 1,120mm. (1.6 x 500 x 1.4 = 1120mm). The RF 1.4x is slightly sharper than the EF 1.4x extender. Good lighting helps. The focusing is 3 feet to infinity and is very sharp.
