Photographing the rarely seen: Cummings Mesa 2

Here we are on days 2 and 3 of our 18 day backpack on rarely visited Cummings Mesa. Looking down 1200' onto our camp we climbed up from, coming back from checking out a possible Anasazi ruin, looking across at a route up Cummings and across to ever present Navajo Mountain. Needless to say, we say not a single other person in those 18 days.

Great captures of this beautifully austere scenery. Now I know where to go to get away from it all!

Excellent set. I admire your fortitude in doing all that climbing. Takes me back to the days of my youth!

We chose to go to Cummings, normally a VERY dry place, because this was the wettest winter in Utah's recorded history. Same reason we chose to hike on the Slickrock Ocean on our earlier trip (see my previous posts).
