I think I should take offence at that in the name of both desert coyotes and desert ants.
Coyotes live a really difficult life in the Sonoran Desert but after all this time they are still here. Both coyotes and ants, in my eyes, beautiful examples of nature in action
No offense intended. Coyotes in my neighborhood are in pretty good shape due primarily to the abundance of kitties, small dogs, and tons of little bunnies that eat tons of freshly watered golf fairways and greens. Also, in Maricopa county, the roadrunners donβt always get to win.

Nice adventure Jack. I am unfamiliar with a Coati Mundy; looks interesting.

Cool photos, Jack! The last time I saw a Coati, I was backpacking in The Grand Canyon. We camped at the bottom in a little side canyon. Next morning we were headed for the rim. The Coati got into my backpack and stole a big Cadbury chocolate bar that I had been saving for energy for the climb!
It was a long, tough climb!

I'm with you, Jack. I love all of nature, except when it bites me.
A really fine set, Jack.
That poor coyote must just be eaking out a living. Nothing but skin and bones.
Life is hard in the desert. Do you ever see jackrabbits anymore? I don't. I miss them.
Just as long as youβre still sticking with it !ππππ

Thanks Jim. Coatis look like something designed by a committee. They are true omnivores and will eat almost anything that crosses their path. They normally travel in small family groups of half a dozen or so individuals
