AR,AR,AR,AR,AR…I seriously would bet you anything you could confiscate every so called assault weapon in the United States and everything else being the same it would not change the calculus on so called mass murders (I say so called because the anytown crowd has convinced the left body counters that a mass shooting is 4 or more injured). I’m sure you are a reasonably intelligent person which is why I don’t understand your myopic belief that controlling or banning such weapons is “the step” to curtail or end such events. “Why don’t you just try” doesn’t play if you can’t articulate how it is going to work. Just because it seems to be the weapon of choice for the shooters looking for notoriety doesn’t mean eliminating the weapon is going to curtail a suicidal/homicidal ideation. They’ll just chose another weapon. Remember, the way they count now there have been over 200 mass shootings this year of which, if you check the list, probably 6 or so we’re committed with the weapon that gives you concern.

When more people in the country are concerned with the ever increasing number of "mass shootings" done with assault style weapons, than those who're clutching at their pearls over their 2nd Ammendment rights, it long past time to take action against the gun problems in the United States.
