Have any of you used Zelle for sending money? There are no fees at all. I had never heard of it, but a friend suggested I could use it to send him money. My bank doesn't use it, so I would have to use an app on my cell phone and then a debit card. I don't like using debit cards.

I'd send a check, or if absolutely urgent, Western Union.

Use it all the time. Use mine through my bank - PNC. You can direct with account you want the money to come out of.

The problem with sending a check is the USPS is no longer reliable I sent mail registered return receipt requested and it got lost and the post office doesn't care. Also I sent checks in regular mail and a week later they have not been delivered.

I have used Zelle under the same situation, transaction was easy without any drama.
I am a very surprised when reading about the USPS, in the late 90's when I worked there, registered mail was handled very carefully.

I use Zelle. Easy to setup and to use. Your recipient also has to be using Zelle. I only use it with family. The only downside I’ve seen is that when the money is transferred you can’t get it back. And for me that’s no big deal since I only deal with people I know. I’m surprised that you said your bank doesn’t use Zelle. Most banks do through their app.

I haven't had problems with the USPS.

Zelle is wonderful. It's instant and it's safe. But the receiving party also has to use it and some banks don't have it. Also, some banks charge for it. It's supposed to be free! I use it to send and receive funds in my business.

If I could use it directly with my bank, I'd do it. I would have to use the cell phone app and a debit card. I have a debit card somewhere, but I'd have to find it. Also, Zelle wants total access to my phone.

I had the same problem recently when the USPS misdelivered a large insurance claim check that was sent to me. They showed little interest in helping track it down and I never received a reply to a claim I filed.
