A few stately older homes in Downtown Alpena, Michigan.

I have passed by these occasionally for 30 years. I finally took the time to photograph some of them on a beautifully cool, Spring, evening.

Fabulous architecture structures so elegantly rendered...
Having payed the bills in this genre I'm keenly aware of what a challenge it is being in the "right place" at the "right time" So many variables to content with to achieve excellence in this paradigm...

Beautiful building. The efforts to construct this were monumental to say the least. It was a jig-saw puzzle of enormous challenge. Each stone had to be individually placed and mortared into position. Wasn't done quickly. Don't know if it could be accomplished in today's markets. Still, a marvel to behold.
