Yesterday, I started to charge the battery in my Nikon D7200, and discovered that the battery door was missing. Assuming this was something I would need to send to a shop for repair, I called Authorized Photo Service in Morton Grove Il to ask if they could do this repair. The technician told me if this is all that needs repair I could do it myself by ordering a door online and clipping it in place. Later I found the original door and clipped it in. So refreshing to have an honest vendor give me a simple answer and saving me the money of shipping my camera and paying for repairs that I did not need to seek a vendor for. Thank you, Authorized Photo Service.
Nice to see that there are honest vendors still around!
I continue to experience that there are far more good reputable vendors than bad ones.

This is my experience as well.

I agree.
The problems are often customer initiated.

Honest Vendors may seem to be fewer each year. But a honest vendor knows you will come back when they are truly needed. Patience is a time honored rarity.

Bad ones don't stay in business long unless your name is Abe

Abe Who? The one in Maine is no longer available. I believe he was run over by a disgruntled customer in a steam roller.
I've been quite lucky with honest vendors. I've sought the advice of people at B&H and been directed to something that would do the job and was half the price I had seen myself. I made the purchase and they were right.
I've worked with KEH and Adorama as well. It is always nice to know that some people will take care of you, even when you didn't know you needed care. Good customer service and honesty will ALWAYS result in success for all concerned. Thank you to all of the reliable and honest vendors.

He is in NJ now, with very good prices
Good to see there are still some left.

Authorized Photo Service has done work for me in the past. They are honest, do an excellent job and their turn around is usually pretty fast. Price of repairs is reasonable too.
They are certainly a very reputable repair station for Nikon.
