Saguaros are starting to bloom. Can 100 degree days be far behind?

Yep, I can't wait. Time to break out the 200-500 and the tripod.

The short blooming season for Saguaros is starting. A lot of pollination of these cacti is accomplished by White-winged Doves that stick their heads deep into the bloom to drink the nectar. I have been trying for years to get a shot of that for years now with no luck. Nectar eating bats also visit the blooms at night

Nice, Jack! Were you on a ladder or some other spot on high? I've always had a hard time finding Saguaros with easy access to flowers for photos.
Really sharp shots on these!
