Swallows feeding on a bug hatch on the Arkansas river
Great captures of a difficult to catch bird

Beautiful captures.
Thank you NMGal. The only time I see these swallows is
during a bug hatch, mayflies this time.
Nice set. Tough little guys to photograph.

Thank you Ken. The swallows were fighting a headwind of 20mph and would
be flying slower when approaching a feeding area. I always watch them for
a few minutes to decide where to stand at the rivers edge to catch their approach.
Excellent BIF work! Tough subjects.

Wonderful set! Bravo for capturing these fast little guys on the wing! Around here they fly just above the trees-30 to 50 feet up!
