At 92 going on 93 with a bad hip and knee on my right leg I don’t get out hiking any longer so I had to give up my quest for eagles in their nests (I participated in an eagle watch program here in upstate New York), and I just decided to not sign up for a photo event at the Hancock Shaker Village because there is no way I can keep up with the rest of the class; so I most of my future photography will be landscape and family events. Getting old sucks, but it still beats the alternative LOL

I wonder if anyone makes B&W conversion glasses.
Yes - such viewing filters do have exist - but there’s an easier solution - set your camera picture profile to black and white and you will see your scene rendered in black and white. Doing so while shooting in RAW will, of course, allow you to render the image in color after the fact should you want to do so.

Not modified images..... (Read the title again.)
I have not.
That's how I interpreted his post as well.

Hard to imagine someone cant turn the focus ring and see the image get sharper ... plus that green dot indicating the best focus. Sales people do say funny things.
Perhaps what the salesman really meant was that many people have no interest in taking the time and effort learning how to nail focus with manual focus lenses. And, of course, using manual focus lenses on a DSLR is more difficult than on a mirrorless camera which has focus peaking and image magnification through the viewfinder.

I do use a mirrorless camera for street Fujifilm x-pro3, but still when I focus on m dslr it's not that difficult 🤔

I post-process color to monochrome a lot, usually using NIK Silver Efex Pro.

I have just rekindled my interest in B&W after deciding that 2024 will be my last calendars. I'm really enjoying the new challenge.
