Nope, it is and always will be Wildlife and Nature photography, which includes Landscapes, of course! When I get too old for that, if I live that long, then I'll figure something out. But it will NEVER be street photography!!

Funny, but my habits have changed just like yours... I find myself converting more and more in photoshop to BW using NIK Silver Efex Pro as a plugin. In fact I think now is the time to dust off my DP2Merrill and spend some quality time exploiting it's world class 30mm lens in BW... I realize this is not primarily a shoot from the hip camera and is best used on tripod, but the acuity of the lens is awesome. My biggest mistake is allowing collectability to trump usability... Gotta start using some of these goodies ! Plugins like Silver Efex make conversion a fun affair.

Glad to get a real-life intelligent response, didn't realize so many people don't see the experiential side of photography. On my last purchase at B&H I bought a manual focus lens, the salesman told me some people can't manually focus, glad to hear you experiment

Hard to imagine someone cant turn the focus ring and see the image get sharper ... plus that green dot indicating the best focus. Sales people do say funny things.

Before covid most of my photography centered on people at work.
Since then I have focused on insects during the warmer months and still life during the winter.

In Florida-birds and wildlife.
In Pennsylvania, Landscapes.
When traveling, people and architecture.

My biggest change in the past five years has been in photo editing, exploring endless possibilities of creative expression.

I know a couple of folks who took up macro photography or studio setups (primarily still life) when they developed health (mobility) challenges.

As Jerry says, there is always something to photograph!

That is funny Linda.... Heading towards an indoor setup myself as my wife is now disabled and it is harder to get out... I think still life, playing with light, shadow and DOF would be fun. Now, just get off my lazy butt and DO IT !

I don't do much B/W but my interests have certainly changed as my mobility has decreased due to
GETTING OLD!
No more long hikes and mountain climbing for me

If life throws us lemons we should make lemonade, sometimes change is good!

Whatever floats your boat. If the effects of age dictate course changes, go with the flow. What prompts you to pick up a camera? The act of photographing and being creative are life fulfilling still as age 95 is in shight
I have leaned more to B/W with the Leica M10 Monochrom, just a 35mm lens. Amazing! I hope that addresses you question. Keep seeing.
