Which has more info ?
As everyone else has noted; sRGB is the output color space to use for sharing images and having images printed.
Also already noted the camera set color space is meaningless to raw files. I process my raw files to sRGB output files.
There is however an in-the-field camera use issue between sRGB and aRGB especially if you're using a modern mirrorless camera. I rely on my EVF highlight clipping warning to set exposure. The highlight clipping warning on my Fuji cameras comes on 1/3 stop sooner with the camera set to sRGB rather than aRGB. Begs the question then which is more accurately reflective of what I'm capturing in the raw file. Otherwise because I'm saving raw files the color space choice is meaningless.

And I'll bet that the "more accurately reflective of what I'm capturing" really only matters to the
photographer, not 99.99% of the viewing public.

Oh absolutely. Like I said I'm saving raw files -- color space is otherwise meaningless. This is an usage in-the-field issue only. If the camera is set to sRGB the metering system (at least with my Fujis) triggers the blinkies sooner than if it's set to aRGB -- two slightly different meter readings.

"Just for your interest..." Peter how many of your commercial clients have ever queried you on your choice of color space? While I've had a few clients ask me what brand/model camera I prefer I've never had a single client voice any concern what so ever about the color space I use... albeit back in the day I recall a few who asked me which photographic film I preferred.
btw, as for your post on Woodstock NY? Were you in attendance on Aug 15, 1969 – Aug 18, 1969?
I was and it became a pivotal moment in my life... for the first time I realized that my thoughts and concerns were indeed mirrored by a huge magnitude of like minded individuals.
Somehow I don't find Color Space to be high on my priority list... Same as what key I tune my guitar to... so easily changed a.k.a. dynamically allocated as my situation predicates...
As for acoustic classical guitars, I have found both Yamaha and Cordoba acoustic guitars are an excellent cost effective option. Especially Cordoba classical guitars... These fine instruments are built in the Spanish tradition, and they can add resonance and presence to the music of any genre. Best yet there are competitively priced for the fine quality of materials and workmanship they bring to the table.
Precious moments with my acoustic classical guitar bring far more joy to my world than any of my digital cameras, albeit the cameras pay the bills... enough said

This sRGB and RGB got blown out of proportion !
I inquired about a locked SD card and how to unlock it.
The first responder noticed in my screen capture the image details of jpg and RGB and everybody jumped on board the color, but not the locking mechanism.
When l was a pro shooting for advertising agencies, all NYC photographers used Adobe RGB 1998 TIFF when send digital files to their client on Madison Ave.
Since retiring, l shoot with an All-in-One Leica (no more full size Nikons or Hasselblads) and out of habit set the RGB (bigger color space).
For my color prints it works ! On the internet they look good as well.
AMEN !

On that date I was at Woodstock, but was not in Woodstock as the concert was held in Bethel, NY some 40 miles southwest of Woodstock, NY.

Is the visual information not enough? Which is bigger? The white triangle or the black triangle?

Bigger must be better, eh? Don't want to miss anything.
Can your eyes really differentiate that many additional greens?
I don't believe mine can...

In 1969, l was in Montreal, not Woodstock, and just started my own studio. I was too busy finding clients and shooting jobs. No time for music festivals.

Thomas, I’m glad you wrote about the guitars are too have a cordoba a flamingo model if 30 I bought used years ago because it had a ding on the back and it’s my favorite. I also have a Ramirez R4 which is absolutely beautiful and sounds great, but I’m going to sell it and keep the cordoba. And yes, my cordoba has given me many precious hours of happiness and memories, and it will be for with me till the end.
I have found that the detailed info at this link helps to explain color space issues. I encourage all to read it and anything similar you may find on this topic.
https://photographylife.com/srgb-vs-adobe-rgb-vs-prophoto-rgbAs a RAW shooter, my practice is to use the largest color space/bit depth/etc while processing images. This may vary depending on the processing software used.
When I need to output or export an image, for the web or printing, I will create the image type and color space requirements specified by the printer.
I usually do not select sRGB for internet images as I have found that jpegs with a larger color space images have never presented a problem. This has been my practice since 2005. That being said, if someone wants to use sRGB for internet output images, I am OK with that. Just select the smaller color space/bit depth at the end of the processing cycle.
Very informative! I edit in Pro Photo, export in sRGB. I shoot mostly wildlife. Here in the PNW we deal with many dark days. I wish to work with the shadows and dark areas. Pro Photo allows one to bring out features from the shadows.
