"Then there is also the increased minimum wage".

Yep, that's exactly what happened. If they raise the wages of the employees by 30%-60% then the prices of the products have to go up in order for the owners to make money and keep the restaurants open, simple math which is unfortunately beyond the ability of the liberals to grasp.

That jingle rings out in my mind like I heard it this morning. Is it really gone?

Little or no understanding of cause and effect, just what they want.

That was written by someone from a California university, why would anybody think it makes sense?

Because California is such an iconic state of wealth and so economically sound that they think they can push their prosperity down all of our throats.

It’s not just the increasing wages of food service or other minimum wage workers. Everything down the supply line is increasing in price, all contributing to end user costs. Then there are those who raise prices just because they can.

The “poverty line” is raised higher since wages were raised the prices of products and services are increased , so the “poverty line” is increased. So who benefited other than the government who collects more taxes on higher wages and increased prices of products and services?
