Something or a combination of items here, were used when I stayed home, sick, from school. I remember watching the "Morning Matinee" which had great old movies. Back then the movies weren't THAT old. My Mom would wait on me "hand and foot". God rest her soul.

Reminds me of my early years and my Mom. We didn't have color TV and only three channels, but it got me through the sicknesses. THank you for the momories.
Prid Salve and Sloans Liniment were my Grandmother's cure-all for whatever ailed me. She would give me a spoon of sugar with a bit of Sloans in it. She used Prid for ticks she would pull off me or thorns and splinters that I would pick up while tromping through the woods and fields.
It was a liquid in a bottle that we used on mosquito bites, tick bites, bee stings, etc. I think we also used it on cuts, also. I think I remember applying it on sun burns to cool the burn.

Just this past week, my wife was suffering from stomach pains. She had tried a number of remedies. Finally, she sent me out for a bottle of "good" Ginger Ale. That and some crackers did the trick! π²
