Last week I visited Congaree National Park, “the largest tract of old-growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the U.S.”

If you like to photograph squirrels you are in luck….they are almost everywhere.

The tree photos were taken on the self-guided boardwalk tour, 2.4 miles roundtrip.

Nice set Dean.

Beautiful shots. It's been a few years since I visited there. There were water snakes everywhere!

Thank you everyone for the compliments and comments!

I found this on the internet, “Congaree National Park….is one of America’s least visited national parks…..Only about 160,000 people visit a year, as compared to 11.4 million visitors at Smoky Mountains National Park less than 3 1/2 hours away.” This was from an article written on October 31, 2020.
