Collectors item! I was thinking this morning, “Red Red Robin” they are really orange.
Another thought, did it have an accent?
My question, even though its probably stupid is are you sure its a robin?
Yes. Definitely a robin with what biologists call "leucism," a genetic mutation that causes white or pale coloration due to lack of pigmentation.
P.S. there are no stupid questions, in my opinion. :)
None that I could detect. Interesting point, however. Judging by its behavior, this bird appeared to be tending a nest, just as many others were doing. That suggests to me that color may not play any part in the mating selection process, which may mean vocalization is more important...accent or no.
