Yes, you do brighten the day with your beauties.
Great shot, love that country. My wife did not like going down the Shafer Trail, the top is a little steap
on both sides.

Bet your wife would've liked going down the Shafer if the bighorns had been out that day. Or if she'd have had a blindfold on.
Pro tip: The top is not steep at all. The middle section, on the other hand, is steeper. It just seems less so since by the time you get to it (assuming you haven't driven off the edge and died), you can see --so long as you're not wearing a blindfold-- that eventually it'll sort of flatten out. People (admittedly fairly stupid people, but people all the same) sometimes drive the Shafer Trail from the ISKY mesa top down to "level ground" [no, it's not exactly 'level' per se, it's just less tilt-y than the switchbacks, most of the way] in their fambly sedans sometimes (low-slung Maserati's and such are strongly discouraged), and there was that instance a couple years back when the driver of that 44' semi truck/trailer driver saw on Google Maps or whatever that the Shafer Trail was the shorter route back toward 'civilization', and found that information to be.... not entirely accurate.......... but tow truck companies have to make a living too, y'know? And besides, almost nobody died.
