Right on. Sound advice

Paul, Strodav, Sodapop, Bubbee and Canisdirus all have the right answer for your expressed needs, and are not pushing you to buy their favorite software. Why would you even hesitate and waste time and money as proposed/suggested by others, when Sodapop has extended his generous offer, costing you neither time nor money??? (As far as using state of the art post processing software, age has nothing to do with it (except as an excuse); I’m 95, and my go-to software is ON1, which is as good as it gets!

I use Lightroom exclusively. It is a lot easier to use than photoshop.

Before I begin my question, I have checked the search feature on UHH. I am looking for software that can edit photographs. I have several photographs that were given to me. Since they were not taken by me, I had little control over the photograph or the photographer. I have a website for my Charitable Foundation. Some photos are blurry and some have artifacts that I wish to remove. Some group photos have people who “photo-bombed” and I would like to remove them if possible. Does anyone have recommendations?

Send the images here! Hoggers and I have generously given our time and skill to those who have needed help.
It sounds like some of the images need more advanced AI sharpening and other capabilities.

Inquiring minds want to know: As a "regular" here on UHH and with over 4000 posts, are you a "SOOC" guy who normally has no need of editing software or just looking for a better solution for these photos?

Be well! Ed

If you need the software just for a few images, you can download and use Faststone. It allows basic editing and it's free. For more substantial editing I recommend Luminar Neo. It's quite good and very affordable. Adobe Lightroom CC is my favorite, it's great but available on subscription basis only.

Send your images to SodaPop!

What is the difference between Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic?

Classic is the program that lives on your computer, buy default it stores images on you computer, it's the legacy LR program a lot of more serious hobbyists and pros prefer the Classic version. You can store images on the cloud but you have to upload them. LR Classic is also a digital assets management (DAM) program.

Lightroom CC is the version that by default stores all the images on the cloud. You can keep a local copy if you want but they still exist on the cloud. LR CC is more mobile friendly, easier to use, and newer photographers or people less into the hobby who want to share images might prefer it. It's the more modern program but some say it doesn't have the same power for retouching or DAM as LR classic.

One runs in a browser with less capability than the 'classic' full-function software.

Nitpicking:

Both Classic (LrC) and Lightroom CC (LR) live on your computer. The difference is where the images and edits reside. LrC (Classic) is the original model and everything is done locally. My preference since I don't do a lot of sharing nor remote work. True, trends favor the modern CC with cloud storage, but it costs more for a reasonable amount of storage. I have never been fashionable, more like pragmatic.

;)

You can keep a local copy of your images and edits using CC but the images still have to be on the cloud. With Classic you don't have to have anything on the cloud.

They give away 20 GB but you have to pay for more than that. I suspect many who use it share jpegs from phones, so many of them don't run out of free storage space.

Just curious, in this and other pists that I have read on this site, there is seldom any mention of Luminar AI. I purchased it almost a year ago. It has, it seems, all of the pp adjustments that I would ever need. It does not have a file storage solution.

If that's all you need it for, only a few photos and you want to do it yourself you might consider something free like Gimp. As has been mentioned most or all will require time and commitment to learn.
