Before I begin my question, I have checked the search feature on UHH.

I am looking for software that can edit photographs. I have several photographs that were given to me. Since they were not taken by me, I had little control over the photograph or the photographer.
I have a website for my Charitable Foundation. Some photos are blurry and some have artifacts that I wish to remove. Some group photos have people who “photo-bombed” and I would like to remove them if possible. Does anyone have recommendations?

Lots of online sites will remove unwanted things from photos.

https://www.google.com/search?q=remove+objects+from+photos&oq=remove+objects+from+photos&aqs=edge..69i57j0i512l7j69i65.6622j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

If all you need is to fix some blurry or faded photos, I would be glad to do them for you.. no charge. It is what I do as a hobby. I can do a good job with JPGs.If you are not satisfied with them, nothing lost. It would be as easy as you scanning and emailing. PM me if you are interested.

That's a great/best solution. (Why spend money/time unnecessarily when such a generous offer exists?)

I agree with Loren! Picasa is good, but limited. Photoshop Elements will do the job, but there is a learning curve. I love it, but for limited techies like me, it's a constant challenge.
Take the super nice offer!

inpixio has software that can accomplish many different purposes such as deleting parts of a photo and replacing the space with a logical background taken from the rest of the image. Topaz has programs that can clear up blurry subjects and remove noise. Topaz's gigapixel can increase the size of the original photo without introducing pixellation at all - a rather amazing program. Although Adobe Lightroom's main use is to adjust RAW images and then convert them to JPG, its many sliders can also adjust black/white balance in selected portions of the photo or globally, can bring out hidden shadow detail, crop out unwanted edges, and improve the overall even if the input photo is already a JPG. And ightroom's companion program, photoshop, has many filters that can make even further adjustments in the final image. The most up-to-date iterations of Adobe lightroom and photoshop are availlable as a subscription for just $10/month. Hope some of this is helpful. Happy fixing!

I would recommend the OP to try out PS/LR but they have changed the policy. Long time ago you can try out PS/LR for 1 month and after 1 month you don't subcribe you can't use it any more. Today you have to subcribe even for the trial and it's only 7 days and if you don't cancel in time you're stuck with it for at least a year.

I use Photoshop Elements. Easy to learn with Quick, Guided, and Advanced editing modes. No subscription required. I bought it initially to edit all my family album scanned prints. Works great.

Affinity Photo, Ver 2. One time price with interim upgrades at no cost. Hundreds of video tutorials. Steep learning curve but not that difficult. I am 79 and can use it now with no issues.

I remain quite happy with GIMP for the things you need to do.

If you are not going to be making post processing part of your life...don't buy a program.
IrfanView is free and quite good...or Gimp...take ur pick.

As ChgCanon suggested if you're not experienced at retouching, unless you want to start to learn that skill, you will save time and money having someone else do it. And someone has already volunteered. ;)

inPixio Photo Studio does an excellent job removing items from pictures. Topaz Sharpen AI works well for sharpening. Lightroom/Photoshop are great for almost anything image related.
