Use of Photo Stacking with Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4 instead of PhotoShop 2023 with Henbit

MtManMD, Thanks for the info. I use PS 2023 for pano stacks, often and it really works well. Have not tried HDR stacking. I would be frustrated with most of my stacking if it weren't for DPP4. I did discover for my kind of shooting several extension tube are too much of a challenge for the R6 AF stacking. That is a minor problem compared with the normal Canon macro lens quality (100mm) I can get with my R6.
Interesting note about the extension tubes. I plan to use them with focus stacking on some upcoming shoots. I'll see how they do. It is a bit of a new area for me. I haven't done a lot of macro lately but do a lot of close-ups (like flowers). I'm using my close focusing RF 100-500mm lens and R5 body mostly. I also have the awesome 100mm macro lens, but it's hard to beat the versatility of the 100-500. I have 4 planned outings over the next few months where I'll do extensive focus stacking, so I'll be a lot more experienced afterward.

Monte, I'm envious of your 100-500mm, but it is on my later to buy list if I foresee subjects that would justify the purchase for me. All I can say about the extension tube stacking is: start with the smallest mm tube and work your way up. Another possibility would be to have the tripod locked down and manually move the stacking sequence. I have never tried that. I am disappointed that the R6 can't stack with my extension tubes but I will take that over the fact that with my other lenses plus DPP4, I can get some impressive results.
