Spent the afternoon looking for bluebonnets our state flower. I found plenty but I also found a lot more to photograph.
This old fence was painted about four years ago and I've taken almost the same photo. Somehow the bluebonnets just look brighter this year.

Panorama showing just about 1/4th of the field where these bluebonnets were located. The were beautiful and the scent overwhelming.

The rain must have fallen at just the right time. It washed away the seeds from the center of the easement.

This field of yellow flowers went on for several hundred yards. There were bluebonnets interspersed throughout the field. The contrast was beautiful.

This was the only duck I saw all day. He/she picked a beautiful place to spend the afternoon.

I like your shots. Spring has sprung!

Nice shots, Dean. The first is far and away the winner.
For someone who was born in and grew up in Texas, this brought back so many good memories. Thanks, Dean!!!
Oh you're bringing back some memories for me. I lived in Texas for 11 years during the mid 1970's and 1980's and 3 1/2 of that time was spent in San Antonio. Every April I always looked forward to going to the hill country to photograph all the beautiful bluebonnets and other wild flowers.I enjoyed your shots and thanks for sharing them with us.

Beautiful flowers. I like #1 the best. The others provide a larger story.
