A cherry plum is a fruit that is a hybrid between a cherry and a plum. It is also known as myrobalan or myrobalan plum. The fruit is typically small and round, and can range in color from yellow to red, depending on the variety. Cherry plums have a sweet and juicy flesh that is similar in texture to a plum, but with a slightly more tart flavor.
Cherry plums are often eaten fresh, but can also be used in jams, jellies, and other baked goods. In some cultures, the fruit is used to make a traditional alcoholic beverage known as slivovitz. Cherry plums are also sometimes used as ornamental trees due to their attractive flowers and foliage.

Very nice - favorite is #1. I just wish you had included shots of the trees. (Incidentally, I had a scholarship offer to Willamette University in 1946, but went back to UCSB when my family moved back to Santa Barbara. We were living on a farm between Canyonville and Days Creek, on the South Fork of the Umpqua River, on the road up to Crater Lake. It was a beautiful area, and more deer in Douglas County than any other county in the US! Our nearest neighbor up the road lived on venison! Lots of logging, also.)
