Stark, but somehow beautiful.

I like it Cany. Often driving over 1,000 miles from Central Australia to see the sea with our two young daughters I can also relate to "are we there yet". Ah, the memories.
Victor said "nice"... no, Cany143, it is not a nice photo, rather it is a desolation, a comment on a climate changed and the death of the vegetation; of all places! on a river bank.
This photo is a fine work of art, the sky being the effect of a high ND filter or a brush. Composition is well staged, the only thing is that I would bring the right in to eliminate the competitive stump... altho, I debate that with my self. On the left, to be picky, there is a gray blip on the uniform brownness of the mountain.
I make those comments because my eye was so attracted to this photo and it bleak desolation... fixation on a photo says that it is a strong message speaking to the minds eye. Certainly a complement to your ability.
We rode ALL DAY to see this!?

You know a tree has had a hard life when it has to have a cane.
That must have been some fire.
Ah! The master of foreground strikes again! What river is that? Nicely done, by the way.
An excellent image. Stark but beautiful.
