Considering the millions of packages that are handled on a daily basis, it's not unreasonable to expect that some deliveries will be delayed.

Well we all have problem with shipping but I think USP has the fewest problem compared to FedEx or USPS.

Not where we are. Postal Service has far and away been the most reliable of the three. UPS is okay, and FedEx generally awful.

I ordered a rather small item form CVS on Tuesday March 24.It was to arrive on Friday March 24th but never came.
It didn't show up today either so I went to UPS tracking and was told it would be delivered on Wednesday March 29th

Maybe the truck was hit by a Russian Cruise Missle?
BTW... the CVS store is about 3 miles from my house. Normally I would simply go to the store. However, I'm currently having some mobility issues and took advantage of their free delivery offer. Glad it wasn't medications

Does the tracking said where the package is at? Perhaps CVS doesn't have what you want when you orderd it and it wasn't shipped yet. They just made a shipping label but never gave the package to UPS.
I have a medication at CVS and every time I come and get it they said it's an hour and then they don't have it. It took me more than 3 months to get the medication. My doctor had to give me his samples. I asked the doctor perhaps to give me different medication he said there is no shortage of the medication as he receive samples quite often.

They aren't comfortable using Covid as an excuse, so they latched onto the war in Ukraine.

This goes along with, "Your call is very important to us, and we will get to you as soon as possible. Wait time is approximately three hours." Or, "Call volume is unusually heavy, so wait times will be longer."

These announcements have replaced, "The CEO wants to make another million dollars by the end of the week, so he had reduced staff. As a result, you'll have to wait and wait and wait."

Maybe they are thinking the “supply chain issues” excuse is getting a bit tired so they came up with a new one.

As frustrating as a delayed delivery may be, it pails in comparison to freight damaged in transit. We would purchase equipment that cost in excess of $500K at times and we would wait as long as 36 weeks for it to be fabricated. The manufacturer would hire a transit company with terms of F.O.B. which meant that we owned the equipment as soon as it left their dock.

Then, when something went wrong in transit causing damage, it became OUR PROBLEM to resolve it with the transit company that we did not hire in the first place. You can imagine how angry we and our customers that had been waiting so long would be to find that the equipment had been damaged.

Yep, FOB Origin means you own it the minute it leaves the shipping dock. FOB destination means it’s the shipper’s responsibility until it’s received.

Years ago we had the absolute best UPS driver. Every day my mom would have something being delivered from QVC. The UPS driver liked my mom and my dog. Every day my dog would be picked up by the UPS driver, go all around the neighborhood and he would drop her off when he was done. She waited for him by the front door and would start crying when she heard his truck. When he dropped her off, she just trotted into the house. Happy because she could go for a ride, have one of his treats and stick her head out the door as he went from house to house.

That’s a sweet story. Sadly those days are gone, at least in my neighborhood.

I wonder if it's a supply chain problem, since Ukraine was an important manufacturer of goods. Just a thought.

Let me just add that FedX ground and FedX air are two different entities and different performance as well.

Still beats Walgreens. Never answer the phone at the pharmacy. I think it may be illegal there. Rude. When you ask a question get a snide answer. I'm going back to my old pharmacy even if it cost a bit more.

I have horror stories about deliveries.
1. My house was renovated 3 years ago just before I moved in and the guy who renovated it put in a new mailbox. Trouble is, he took my old mailbox and put it up at his house, on my street, just a block away and left MY address on it. I had no idea why I was missing a couple of package that were reported delivered. This year, when I finally found out about the address, the guy had died of Covid. I called USPS because I wanted my address removed from that mailbox. They said the mailbox is the responsibility of the owner. I asked what I should do to get it resolved. They said "Call the police". I called the police...NOT a police matter...I told him I didn't want to get put in jail for going up there and spray painting over the numbers on the box. He said he'd come anyway and see if there was anything he could do. He went there and scraped the numbers off of the box.
2. A package was sent to me a week or so ago from NY. It arrived at the PO in the next town, (Alabama) just 2 1/2 miles away. From there, it went to Houston Texas, then to Florida and finally made it here. Who knows?!!!!
