And mice share 90 percent of human DNA. Chickens share 65 percent of human DNA. Maybe that's why we refer to some people as "Rats" and "Chickens."

I believe Lucy is proof that humans are not part of evolution as Darwin would have us believe. Great apes' ancestors date back 25 million years while humans have been around for 5 million (taking into account there are still older human remains to be found that predate Lucy). In 25 million years apes are still hunter/gatherers and unless trained to do so, can't use any modern implements, do not have written language, and do not form large centers of civilization. Man on the other hand has done all that and their knowledge is constantly accelerating while apes are status-quo for millions of years. I do believe all species including man evolve, but I do not believe we originated in a primordial slime. I personally believe in God and the depiction of his putting man on the earth. I know some will insist this is a fairytale but to each his own. The fact is I cannot prove the existence of God, and no one can disprove it. Choose as you will. While not conclusive, I believe there is better proof of the life and miracles of Christ and therefore God than non-believers can produce. All but one of Christ's disciples were horrendously killed. Peter upside down on a cross and others were thrown to lions, beheaded, or boiled. None of them renounced what they had seen or believed. Only Judas betrayed Christ and knowing the mistake he had made, hanged himself. That is pretty good proof if you ask me.
