I ordered a rather small item form CVS on Tuesday March 24.It was to arrive on Friday March 24th but never came.
It didn't show up today either so I went to UPS tracking and was told it would be delivered on Wednesday March 29th
"Due to the situation in the Ukraine"
Maybe the truck was hit by a Russian Cruise Missle?
BTW... the CVS store is about 3 miles from my house. Normally I would simply go to the store. However, I'm currently having some mobility issues and took advantage of their free delivery offer. Glad it wasn't medications

Ukraine? Really?
I guess they have to blame it on something, other than them.

Beware….Be very Aware!
There will always be an excuse for laziness.
It can be a war or some conflict. It can be a tornado or hurricane. It may even be a huge flooding in some desert. It will be bird flu, COVID or even a rice shortage in Ireland. It is disgusting that some many people are afraid to work but don’t mind demanding a paycheck.
Sadly, I don’t have that luxury. From the moment I walk into the pharmacy till the moment I leave, I just fill scripts, answer the phone. It never ends. Even if I forget to take off my ID, I get bombarded by other passengers asking questions. I am waiting for someone to say that they couldn’t deliver a package because their computer was off, and wouldn’t tell them how to turn it on!!
Silly! "UPS" stands for "Ukrainian Postal Service"! The package had to go to Kiev, first!
🙄 😂 🤣

I had a FedEx delivery that was 3 days late. Tracking showed it had arrived in town yesterday, but there was a "Weather Delay." We had beautiful sunny weather all week...
On the other hand, our UPS man is FANTASTIC! The other day, he delivered a pressure washer to our house and the box was mangled. Since it was our usual time to walk our dog, he waited outside for us until we got home so my husband could unwrap it to make sure it was OK. Kudos to UPS.

"Possibly" weather between you and the point of origin.
UPS service varies by locality. In the 20 or so years I have been getting deliveries from them, I can only recall two misdeliveries. One parcel was sent to my house in error, about 12 years ago, and I took it two streets over to the rightful owner. The last was a little over a week ago, and the notification I got was that the package was delivered. It was dropped at my next door neighbors house, where I found it. I tried to notify UPS on line, but they only offer “programmed” responses. They give you the option of a call back, but they did not after following up three times. Other than those two incidents, their service has been satisfactory.

It was "on time" until it arrived at the local FedEx facility. It was "Out for delivery" all day, then there was a "weather delay" and it came two days later. Three great sunny days.
Butterfly effect. Someone drops a spoon in New Zealand and it effects UPS deliveries in the USA.

They aren't comfortable using Covid as an excuse, so they latched onto the war in Ukraine.
This goes along with, "Your call is very important to us, and we will get to you as soon as possible. Wait time is approximately three hours." Or, "Call volume is unusually heavy, so wait times will be longer."
These announcements have replaced, "The CEO wants to make another million dollars by the end of the week, so he had reduced staff. As a result, you'll have to wait and wait and wait."
Well we all have problem with shipping but I think USP has the fewest problem compared to FedEx or USPS.
