Just curious for what a used will sell for and how many people are selling. Was considering moving up from Z7 but brand new it's a big expensive for marginal gain.

The big differences I see are (1) improvements to firmware including focusing, not available on Z7 (2) Longer Bulb time (3) two memory card slots (SD and XQD)
Good article comparing them here:
https://photographylife.com/nikon-z7-vs-z7-ii

The most significant thing, for me, is the newer firmware, and the Z7 has been listed as discontinued. And that was FAST!! Not really happy about that. Since I do 80% of my shooting with M43 nowadays I was considering putting any future camera investment $ in M43 as my primary platform, and just keeping the z7, my F lenses and F100 for occasional work.

The big question is whether the Z7 line will survive in the long run considering that Nikon will be releasing a Z8 (maybe) soon ( maybe)…( way to much confusion/speculation)…

You are correct! I just looked at the $2400 and assumed it was the discounted price. After reading your post I put it in the shopping cart and sure enough, the total is now $2160 + tax. Thanks! I think?... now you've got me thinking which always leads to a bad case of GAS. Wow, that's less than $200 more than a D850. Uh oh, here I go again...😉

That's a question that can be applied to any line. Nothing new here.
