OK, you were there. You took a picture.

If you wish to merely share your image, then it should be posted in the Gallery.

If you are hoping that showing this image would spark a discussion then it should be here. For the life of me I don't see this as a discussion starter.

Why not clone out the signs? Why not post to the Photo Gallery?

If I remember correctly, this paved street leads to the Greek theater from what used to be the harbor. The theater is behind the photographer. Ahead and to the right are the Harbor Baths. Just to the right of the photographer is the Theater Gymnasium. I was stationed at a remote USAF site a few hours drive from here. I’ve visited the site at least 5 times. Back then, 1991-1993, there were fewer signs, trees were much smaller, local businesses hadn’t encroached into the ruins. There were still tourists, especially in summer, but only about a third of what they get now. Best time to visit is in the Spring(Apr-May)and Fall (mid Sept-mid Oct). MUCH cooler as all that marble reflects the heat making it unbearable for a lot of folks. Cheers Retired USAF MSgt

I remember standing there. I LOVED Ephesus and all of its environs. That street was the only one that was sort of devoid of tourists (at least if I remember correctly). That's a great image. And, btw, wherever you posted it, Admin will move it if necessary. I've never understood those who act like space police!

I like your photograph. Years ago our tour bus drove right past Ephesus even though that is where we all wanted to go. The tour guide said the parking lot was filled with other tour buses even though none could be seen by the rest of us on the tour.

It was replete with, not devoid of, tourists when I visited the site in 2014.

I admit, UHH has some amazing photographers posting their talents. I learn from them, enjoy very much seeing captures of countries and sites I will never be able to visit. But for the reason mentioned by FrancisOak, I have never submitted one of my own photos.
