I honestly don't know why it is working, but Ooma now seems to work on all the phones. I kept swapping wires around until all the phones rang when I called from my cell phone. The Ooma network cable is plugged into the router, and the Ooma phone cable is connected to two other phone cables through a multi-port splitter.
Ooma doesn't seem to offer different rings to indicate who is calling, though.

That's where it got its name. 😂
You shouldn't make the thread Jerry. The spammers are watching this forum and now they know they can call you.

Go to:
https://my.ooma.com/ and login to your account.
On the banner across the top of the page, click on "PREFERENCES" (Gear Icon)
On the vertical menu at the left, click on "PHONE NUMBERS"
Under the orange PHONE NUMBERS title, you will see your phone number(s) listed below
Click on the "GEAR ICON" in the field containing your phone number and then click on "EDIT NUMBER" when the popup menu is showing.
You will get a popup menu "MANAGE PHONE NUMBER". Click on the box next to "RING PATTERN" and select your choice from the drop-down menu.
Repeat if necessary if you have a second Ooma phone number below your main number.
This probably does not solve your exact issue but it gives you a few options. This sets the ringing pattern only sent from the Ooma device.
The ring "tone" itself is dependant on what your phone device offers for selections and if it includes the ability to customize and coordinate incoming caller ID with your contacts stored on that device. My dated Panasonic cordless system has a lot of features, but it does not provide the ability to individualize ringtones by contacts. Finding and replacing my home phone device is at submarine level on my priority list until it dies.
Hopefully, this will assist you.

Telephone without a phone company. It works with your router. Buy the base unit for about $100, and there is no monthly charge, just the taxes. In my case, it's $6.94. I'm paying an extra $5.00/mo for some extra features. From what people here have said, it works fine.

Glad to hear you have cleared the hurdle.
Now it is time for the optional upgrade... Gooma.

Well, their calls give me someone to talk to during the day. It makes for a pleasant diversion.
Similar to Magic Jack which does charge monthly, albeit pretty cheap. I pay around $50 per year and have used it for about 10 years. It used to require a computer to plug in but now has a device that plugs into a router. It has its own phone number or can port your old land line to the device. The system works fine to replace a landline.
