St. Uhro's Day
Today is St. Uhro's day. He is the patron St. of Finland and is known & revered for chasing the grasshoppers out of Finland and saving the wine crop.
During my college years I spent a lot of my summer time in Finland. (Finland, Minnesota) St. Uhro's day wasn't very well known then, but now Finland, MN has an annual St. Uhro's day celebration. I'm wearing purple today in honor of St. Uhro.
St. Uhro's day was originally popularized by one my professors at Bemidji State University, Dr. Sulo Havumaki.
Kiitos - I'm wearing my St. Uhro's Day pin right now.
Anybody who saves a wine crop needs to be sainted
How do you chase grasshoppers out of a country?
that is the miracle that got him sainted

The same way you chase all the snakes out of a country.
My cousin's birthday was yesterday and her Italian Catholic parents named her Patti. A day later and she could have been Uhro!!
