FWIW, the Ukrainians converted as a whole at about 1000 AD. The Russians came in much later. Hence the influence is what the Russians adopted into their credo. (There is a divergent view regarding "Kievan Rus". History got crumpled up. But that is another long road to understand the issues that we see today. There are even Ukrainians that are Tartary in heritage.)
If you get to the Ukrainian church up in Roswell (North of Atlanta), please note the Baptist church on Alabama Road. There is a history about that. Which reminds me, be very careful about the entry to the Ukrainian church. You might miss it with it being right next to the drive to the Baptist church.
