Nice work Cindy! Kootenai never disappoints, and you have gotten all the good vantage points. Particularly like the straight-on shot of the bridge with the perspective that it ends up miles away! As always, enjoy your work and keep shooting the beauty of Big Sky country...

Thanks Tommy....I had to get out almost to the edge of the cliff for that one

Took a road trip today to Kootenai Falls, it's a beautiful drive about 2 hrs away. Kootenai Falls is the largest undammed falls in the state and it offers an unforgettable and breathtaking view as the Kootenai River loses 300 feet in elevation traveling a few hundred yards down river. An attraction at the falls is a swinging bridge that provides access to the opposite side of the Kootenai River. To the Kootenai tribe, the falls is a sacred site. They view it as the center of the world, a place where tribal members can commune with the spiritual forces that give direction to the tribe and to individual members. Archaeological evidence shows the Kootenai had Native American sweat lodges and encampments up and down the river valley from Pipe Creek, (where light clay was found for pipes) to the falls area.

This area was also featured in the movie The River Wild, it is the gorge that Meryl Steep and Kevin Bacon floated thru.

These do look sharper in the downloads.

I don't get out much cept to follow my wife to visit grand kids - and kids of course. I took pics of the rapids in Hell's Canyon and painted it, I took pics of Shoshone Falls, both full flow and not quite full flow. I like rocks and water. Bob Fred.

You've done another amazing job of capturing a set of fine pictures. I also like the varied speeds and of course, the area.
