Nice shots, we were there in 1970 while stationed in Japan while wife stationed at Korat, we flew up in military transport then took local bus back to Bangkok quite a ride with chickens and heavy armed soldiers.,

They were, I have a set of b/w pics I took in the hill tribes, near golden triangle, one especially good, a woman smoking an opium pipe with her baby clutching to her, very sad
