Olympus is fine, but if 24mm is the widest that outfit will go, bear in mind that is only like 48mm FF equivalent. My son has the GH-4, and his standard zoom is 12-35 2.8, which translates to 24-70 FF equivalent; much more useful for general photography.
Don’t quite understand your reply. Re: I 24mm is the widest…the smaller lens is 14-42mm.
As one that shoots Nikon FF and Olympus M4/3 I’m a fan of both manufacturers. I can’t speak to that particular model but overall Olympus cameras are well built with good ergonomics and punch well above their price with all the electronic features that are way ahead of the curve. They also make great glass. I don’t think you can do better for a lightweight kit.

I’m pretty sure that’s a typo. They don’t make a 24-42. It’s 14-42.
I traded up from the OM D 10 to a Pen F. Big improvement in image quality and in-camera features.

Imma Oly mft and Nikon FF guy, the Oly's are nice enough that I have considered going "all-in", but then I use my FF Nikons and well...

Looking at an Olympus OM10 II with a 24-42 lens & 42-150 lens (all used/ex. condition) for a small, light weight walk-around camera. Priced at about $450. I know a Nikon z50 would fill that niche nicely, but out of budget quite a bit. Any thoughts on the Oly, please?
An E-M10 mkII is a good camera. I am not familiar with the 24-42 and 42-150 lenses. But for $450, you can always add better lenses later if you would like to. Just be aware that the system is not weatherproof. Also, the complaints about the menu is for the scroll menu only, not the Super Control Panel menu (all Olympus/OMDS cameras have both menus; the Super Control Panel is one of the simplest menus ever put on a camera). Many UHHers have an Olympus or Panasonic body with an Olympus or Panasonic lens as their travel or walk-about camera.
Hello Whatdat. I got into the Olympus micro four thirds line about five years ago, in prep for a trip to Europe. Unlike my Canon full frame outfit, I can fit two Olympus bodies and three lenses into one small over the shoulder bag. Once you get used to the menu system, it is not bad. I don’t know if the model you are considering has a touch screen menu, but if it does, you can immediately access things like focus point, ISO, and many other settings without going through the menu screens. I really like mine because it is so small and light, and I can take it anywhere in a small over the shoulder bag. I have found no issues with the 16MP sensor, including blowing up to full page size in Shutterfly books. Like you are considering, I bought both the Olympus bodies used, as well as all the lenses I have except for one. And another great thing to consider is that Panasonic’s micro four thirds lens lineup all work, and even communicate with the camera like an Olympus lens would. Good luck with your decision! JimR
No way you can go wrong with the Olympus EM-10 Mk II with kit lenses and the price is reasonable enough.
Its AF is not good enough for wildlife (birds in flight) photography.
I want to thanks everyone for your responses. Now I just need to sell my Nikon d5200.
I too use primarily Nikon gear and use an Oly PenF and two Oly zooms for travel. I don’t own the body you’re considering though. But I can say without hesitation Oly products are wonderful and produce great images. If you like the price go for it.

Good choice. One of the EPL cameras would be smaller and lighter. There are those who prefer a rangefinder “look” but a prism EV is also better in bright living situations. Good lenses, you could up grade later to pro lenses if the micro 4/3 grows on you like it has me. I assume the body and lenses have been checked out by a tech person or you trust the seller with your purchase.

Typo... The older standard Micro 4/3 kit lens is a 14-42mm or a 14-45mm. The pro upgrade is a 12-35mm or a 12-40mm. There is no 24-42mm optic for Micro 4/3.
Nor is there a 42-150mm Micro 4/3 lens. There is a 14-150mm and several 40-150mm lenses, however.

While Olympus equipment is excellent the glass your looking at isn’t Olympus best and isn’t fast it is fun
